　　莎拉劳伦斯学院开设课程众多，主要包括非洲民谣研究、人类学、艺术史、亚洲研究、生物学、化学、计算机科学、舞蹈学、设计研究、经济学、环境研究、民族与流亡研究、电影史、法语研究、地理学、全球研究、历史学、国际研究、拉丁美洲研究、同性恋双性恋与变性研究、文学、数学、现代语言与文学、音乐学、哲学、物理学、政治学、

心理学、宗教学、科学与数学、科学技术与社会、社会学、戏剧学、视觉艺术研究、女性研究等。

　　学校没有专业一说，学生只需自己选择想学习的方向的课程。学校实行独特的学术研讨会及讨论会系统——即圆桌课。每个圆桌课最多15个人。基本所有课程都是圆桌课的形式。在圆桌课上，教授和学生围绕着圆桌，进行讨论式的学习。该校每年的学术讲座(Lecture，即大课)不超过15个。

　　学校的选课制度也很独特，不像一般学校就是在电脑上进行注册。SLC的学生在每个学期选课之前要和所有有意向选的课程的老师进行面谈，有时可能因为对老师授课方式及性格的了解而对课程的印象有所改观，与老师能和得来这一点在SLC这种需要大量和老师进行沟通的课程体制下尤为重要。一般整个选课过程需要四至五天的时间。

　　学校最强的科目有写作，历史，文学，心理学和视觉及表演艺术。科学学科的部门规模都很小，但是质量却出奇地好，比如医学预科(Pre-Med)的学生基本都能进入优秀医学院。

　　在福布斯杂志发布的2010-2011全美费用(仅包括学费和食宿费，不包括课本费、学生的个人花销以及各种保险费用)最贵的大学排名榜单中，SLC位居第一，成为全美2010-2011最贵院校。

　　4、录取要求

　　对于国际学生，SLC要求托福网考的最低分为100。学生可选择是否提交SAT成绩。SAT成绩的提交与否并不会对申请产生决定性的影响。另外，学校要求一份至少5页纸的学术论文样本(Analytical

Paper)以衡量学生的写作水平和思维能力。

　　学校采用Common Application普申系统，具体来说，学校需要的申请资料如下(仅适用于本科新生申请)：

　　1. 完整的Common Application表格，包括一篇小短文和一篇可以自选主题的Essay;

　　2. SLC补充表格，学生需要提交一份学术论文(主题不限，但必须包含老师的打分和反馈)和另一篇Essay;

　　3. (对于中国学生)初三至高二的成绩单，需由辅导员(Guidance Counselor)扫描并上传。辅导员还需完成一份评价表(School

Report)(如果采用Common Application系统则不用填写);

　　4. 两封任课老师的推荐信，由老师本人签字扫描并上传，同时也要完成各自的评价表格(Teacher Evaluation);

　　5. 托福成绩单。需在线订购并由ETS直接发送到学校;

　　6. 60美金的申请费或豁免申请费;

　　7. 如果申请人打算申请Need-based奖学金，则需要提交CSS FROFILE和一系列财产文件。

　　不强制要求但是可以选择提交的材料：

　　1. SAT, SAT2, ACT成绩;

　　2. 艺术或体育补充资料，如个人绘画、摄影集。
